RD Workshop

“MOVING THROUGH A SCENE - USING KRUMP TO CHOREOGRAPH”

- Thurs. 11/10, 10:30AM to 12PM -

Join Brian "Hallow Dreamz” Henry, the New York Krump King for a workshop exploring the dance style KRUMP as a tool for choreographing a theatrical scene. Using material from the play “Triggerman” by Ebu Nihan Celkan this workshop will play with the creation of movement based off theatrical text. This workshop is open to LAGCC students with a limited number of spots available for the outside community.

Following the workshop there will be an Open Rehearsal (12:30-5:30PM) for the play Triggerman Fight choreography by Brian "Hallow Dreamz”.
At the open rehearsal you will experience a behind-the-scenes peek at the process of staging a production. Please note that this is a work in progress and the rehearsal may be paused at points to provide direction to the actors. Following this open rehearsal, we will host a brief discussion for audience members.

Known for this TedX Talk “Krumping is Language” and integral role in building the Krump community in New York, Brian "Hallow Dreamz” Henry is from Bed-Study, Brooklyn and started Krumping in 2004.
