REDEMPTION

A contemporary dramatic play about a Latino man forced to confront his painful past, offering him a route to redemption, forgiveness and finally....healing. 

Traveling across time between the 1960's, 1990's and today, the play follows the story of a troubled Latino Pastor who tries to make amends with a childhood friend he abandoned years ago following a traumatic event. 

CAST BIOS

Ivan Goris - Ivan is a well seasoned talent shining as bright as he can in this fast paced industry. Ivan is Dominican- American Actor and Writer / Producer born and raised in Manhattan's Lower East Side with a strong connection to his Latino community. Ivan has graced the stages all over NYC. His film and television credits include, HBO’s VINYL, Tim Blake Nelson’s ANESTHESIA, NETFLIX’s SHE'S GOTTA HAVE IT and CBS MADAM SECRETARY. Ivan is also a Co-founder of B.I.P (Barrio Independent productions) you can follow him on his only social media page on Instagram @Ivan_Goris537_

Jose Chillychez - Jose is a Puerto Rican actor based in NYC. He has worked on stage, TV and number of Independent movies. He would like to Thank Jessica and this very talented cast of artist for making this such a fun experience.



Alexander Peña (Emilio) - He/Him - Alexander is a creative artist who believes in connecting with the audience emotions and psyche through his craft. He has been in many forms of art and continues to sharpen his skills to enhance the development of his abilities. He is known for roles like Warbucks in Annie, Rod in Avenue Q, Juror #11 in 12 Angry Jurors, Howie in Rabbit Hole, and most recently, Ernst from Spring Awakening. He has also performed off Broadway in the Shubert theater and is in the making of his own musical short, The Word "Love".
He likes to thank all the people that believed in him to get this far and for the teachers and mentors that pushed him to greatness along the way. He hopes to entertain and open your mind into curiosity and enlightenment!

Daniela Thome Loría - Daniela is an actor, writer, and lover of music. Born in Chile and raised in the midwest by her latin american parents, at 19 she studied theatre at The Neighborhood Playhouse, learning Meisner technique. But instead of pursuing acting then, she returned to finish her undergrad degree to study music; eventually becoming an elementary school teacher to make a living. But acting was in her blood, and years later, she fell back into it, realized she loved it, and returned to NYC to study, this time at Stella Adler. Since then, she can't keep herself away from it.

April Bartlett - April M. Bartlett is a visual artist specializing in storytelling and is inspired by the limitless potential of an undefined space. She is a production designer, scenic designer and educator. April is an Art Director for The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. She was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2011 for Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction and won for Best Morning Show in 2019/2020 for her collaborative design work on The Today Show. She is an adjunct professor at Pace University, NYU Tisch and The University of California, Riverside and has been a guest designer at Long Island University, Bard College and The King’s College.
