Behind the Beat of Latin Lover: LPAC's Creative Homecoming
LPAC has played a pivotal role in making Latin Lover possible. From the earliest workshops to this staged reading, the center has been both a funder and an incubator, providing financial support, mentorship, and a platform for experimentation. Through its guidance, the team secured vital grants such as funding from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and was connected to The Bechdel Project, which offered new perspectives and opportunities to refine the work.

From Classrooms to Center Stage: Meet Kasset
The story began with a duet. Juanita Herrera, bassist and vocalist, teamed up with Noah Tobing, electric guitarist and lead singer, for a performance at the Brooklyn Music School. That spark led to a songwriting session with Amelia Marczenia, a Polish pianist and vocalist with a taste for emotionally rich melodies. One session turned into another, and by their second meeting, the trio had already signed up to perform at Baruch Performing Arts Center.
